Edward Kinchley Overstreet, is descended from James Overstreet b. 1750, South Carolina. From our DNA study we know that James was related to Henry b. 1705 who came to Georgia around 1832. However, we don't know the exact relationship.
The family of James Overstreet was very prominent and well-respected in Colonial Georgia, and they are well documented in "Pioneers of Wiregrass, Georgia," a genealogy of early Georgia families printed in the 1930's.
Ed is the fourth Edward Kinchley Overstreet in his line.
